AfrikAktiv e.V is a german based non-profit organisation and owner of Afrika Festival Tübingen, a community family festival for Africans, African descendants and friends of Africa in Germany Europe and beyond. Founded in 2006 under different entities, the organization represents the needs, concerns, interest and aspirations of Africa and its Diaspora in advancing cultural development and engagement. Here are the five main core objectives of our work.

Since its inception in 2006, more than 100 networks of Africans, cultural talents such as artist and Organizations promoting African culture and values  from over African countries and its Diaspora countries have been a part of its Platform, working for the promotion of equal opportunities in the cultural disciplines and aiming to give African culture and it’s Diaspora a voice on the global stage

Africa and its diaspora, those active and engaged in promoting African culture, in the private sector are still significantly underrepresented.  Despite the fact that Africans make up a significant number – Across Europe, millions of Africans and Afro-descendants contribute to the workforce, business, education, arts, sports, and innovation sectors

The 2026 edition of our festival in Germany, marks a new era and transformation for AfrikAktiv — evolving from being only a festival organizer into a global platform for Africa and its Diaspora, connecting African communities worldwide with the continent through culture, dialogue, entrepreneurship, education, and shared cultural identity.
